-Heather and Mary Jo, Sales Team:
Saratoga is off to another great year in 2012 and we are looking forward to working with all of you on any of your upcoming events. In February , we are gearing up for our annual Chowderfest on February 4th and we hope to see a lot of you there. It is a wonderful time to enjoy Saratoga and taste some incredible chowder at the same time. Should your group be with us at the time of Chowderfest, we hope you have a little time to partake in the festivities. The bureau staff will be working at several locations throughout the city that day and would love to see you if you are joining us for the day – come by either T-shirt locations to say hello!
We would like to extend a special thanks to our friends at Sematech and the College of Nanoscale Technology and Engineering in Albany, New York for hosting a wonderful site tour of their facility.
There were 12 of us consisting of Bureau staff and hotel partners who participated, and it was a very exciting and interesting tour. The purpose of the tour was for all of us to learn more about nanotechnology as we continue to attract more high tech companies to our area. This complex has attracted over 300 global corporate partners and is the most advanced research complex of its kind at any university in the world. The worlds most advanced nanoscale research is happening here, right in our own backyard. We would highly recommend that if you have not toured the facility, it is very worth while to see how our world is moving forward with amazing technology.
As you all are fine tuning your 2012 conference schedules, please let us know how we can assist you with any upcoming events, or proposal requests. We are hoping with all of the new opportunities and growth in the Saratoga area, that it will only prove to be beneficial to our meeting planners to draw the maximum attendance possible at their events, and make their events more financially successful!
Please remember that we are here to work with

They are adding to the four-tower zip line and the ropes course:
• The H2OGO™. Take one, 12-foot inflatable ball. Add 20 gallons of water and an eager participant. Send it downhill for a little over 1,100 feet for a wet and wild water ride. Howe will have the longest OGO course in the Northeast!
• 26' Rock Climbing Wall. With eight distinct climbing routes, it's a safe and great way to test climbing skills!
• Air Jumper. With patented technology, the Air Jumper allows participants to spring up to 18 feet in the air. While the jumping is part of the fun, trying aerial stunts (such as back flips), make for an exciting time.
Also opening, will be their new Gem & Mining Building with indoor and outdoor sluices and a rock shop. The 250-seat Picnic Pavilion will be greeting guests. In fact, they're busily booking parties and reunions now!
