Get ready for a great day of outdoor family fun at Hero Rush – the firefighter-themed obstacle race and experience. For adults and kids 14 and older, there’s a 5k run featuring fun and challenging obstacles that simulate real challenges firefighters face on the job. For the younger set, there’s the Junior Heroes Race, a half-mile course with smaller obstacles for kids 7-13, and the and Mini Heroes Adventure Course, where 4- to 6-year olds can play all day. Kids will also love interactive obstacles like Bystander Blast, where they take a turn at the fire hose and spray down runners on the course!
In the center of it all, the Inferno Midway features food and drink, displays by local fire departments, music and more. It’s a great opportunity to see the fire trucks up close, and meet your local firefighting heroes!
Hero Rush supports the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, which honors the nation’s fallen firefighters and works to reduce line-of-duty deaths. For every runner who chooses to run in the "343 Wave" honoring firefighters killed on 9/11 in the Twin Towers, the NFFF will receive a $20 donation.
