Saratoga
Spa State Park, distinguished by its classical architecture and listed as a
National Historic Landmark, is noted for its diverse cultural, aesthetic and
recreational resources. In addition to the nationally known Saratoga Performing
Arts Center, the Spa Little Theater, the National Museum of Dance, the Gideon
Putnam Hotel and the Lincoln mineral baths, the park offers a multitude of
traditional recreation opportunities.
Saratoga Spa State Park offers a wide variety of walking and hiking trails. The flat and mostly gentle terrain of the Park offer easy walking. Stream-side trails have much to offer the naturalist or casual hiker. For the Winter trail user, Spa Park offers many miles of groomed and ungroomed trails to cross-country ski or snowshoe. The park is dotted with natural mineral springs, museums, a performing arts center, two golf courses, swimming pools, pavilions, a hotel and much more. This 2,200 acre park has played host to many Cross Country, Snowshoeing and 5K races in a picturesque natural setting.
